The GRI Standards are structured as a set of interrelated standards. They have been developed primarily to be used together to help an organization prepare a sustainability report which is based on the Reporting Principles and focuses on material topics. GRI Standards allow third parties to assess a company’s activities and the impacts these activities have in regards to business sustainability. They are especially important for companies with more than 500 employees, as a result of these new laws and regulations.
